Robeco Digital Innovations is an actively managed fund that invests worldwide in equities from developed and emerging countries. The selection of these stocks is based on a fundamental analysis. The fund's objective is to achieve a better return than the index. The fund invests in a number of structural growth trends on the production side of the economy, such as robots and automation, digital enablers and secure digital infrastructure. The fund managers try to select stocks of the structural winners within these trends.

Daniel Ernst is Portfolio Manager Digital Innovations, Technology Analyst and member of the Thematic Investing team. In his role as Technology Analyst, he is dedicated to the Global Consumer Trends strategy. He joined Robeco in 2020. Daniel has held several positions as analyst, consultant and director of research at various companies in New York over the past 25 years, and was most recently senior analyst at Purchase Park Capital. He started his career in the industry in 1995 as a Communications Sector Analyst. Daniel holds an M.A in Economics from George Washington University. Steef Bergakker is Portfolio Manager Robeco Global Multi-Thematic (2024), Rolinco (2020), Portfolio Manager Robeco Digital Innovations (2019) and member of the Thematic Investing team. Previously, he was trends researcher and has authored several white papers. Before that, Steef was portfolio manager of Robeco Infrastructure Equities and Robeco Hollands Bezit. Prior to rejoining Robeco in 2008, Steef held different functions at IRIS (Institute for Research and Investment Services), the former research joint venture of Robeco and Rabobank. From 1998 through 2008 he served as head of IRIS Equity Research, and before that he worked as equity analyst for eight years. Steef started his career in the investment industry at Robeco in 1990 as an analyst. He holds a Master's in Monetary Economics and Finance and Investments from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Tracking error ex-post (%) The ex-post tracking error is defined as the volatility of the fund's achieved excess return over the index return. In fund management, most managers are subject to an ex-ante (pre-determined) tracking error, which defines the extent of the additional risk they may take when aspiring to outperform the fund's benchmark. The ex-post tracking error explains the distribution of past fund performances compared to those of its underlying benchmark. With a higher tracking error, the fund's returns deviate more from its index's returns, hence there is a greater chance that the fund may outperform. The fund is established in Luxembourg and is subject to the Luxembourg tax laws and regulations. The fund is not liable to pay any corporation, income, dividend or capital gains tax in Luxembourg. The fund is subject to an annual subscription tax ('tax d'abonnement') in Luxembourg, which amounts to 0.05% of the net asset value of the fund. This tax is included in the net asset value of the fund. The fund can in principle use the Luxembourg treaty network to partially recover any withholding tax on its income.

Global equity markets were broadly unchanged in July, as investors balanced resilient economic conditions against concerns around interest rates and geopolitical developments. Market performance became more diversified, with gains extending beyond the narrow group of stocks that had led earlier in the year. Technology markets experienced a notable rotation. Semiconductor shares came under pressure following a period of exceptional performance, as investors reassessed growth expectations and the pace of returns from AI-related investments. At the same time, market attention increasingly shifted from AI infrastructure spending toward commercial adoption and monetization. Despite this rotation, underlying digitalization trends remained supportive. Strong corporate earnings and improving confidence in AI-driven revenue opportunities provided support for software, digital infrastructure and other technology businesses, helping offset weakness elsewhere in the technology sector.

Based on transaction prices, the fund's return was -1.66%. Robeco Digital Innovations underperformed versus the MSCI ACWI in July amid a rotation away from several first-half technology winners. Performance remained mixed across segments, with Software and Artificial Intelligence providing the strongest contributions, while Frontier & Other Technologies and Digital Infrastructure weighed on returns. Software (+12.8%) rebounded strongly, supported by gains in SAP and Autodesk, while Artificial Intelligence (+2.9%) benefited from strength in cloud computing leaders Microsoft and Amazon. The results suggest investors increasingly favored companies demonstrating commercialization and recurring revenue opportunities from AI investments. In contrast, Frontier & Other Technologies (-31.9%) and Digital Infrastructure (-9.5%) came under pressure, as investors reduced exposure to several AI infrastructure beneficiaries following strong year-to-date performance. Microsoft, Amazon and SAP were the largest contributors to returns, while ASML, Intel and Micron Technology detracted most during the month.

While macroeconomic conditions may influence the pace of investment, the direction of innovation remains firmly positive. We remain confident that the strategy's themes are well positioned to deliver attractive long-term growth, although elevated expectations following several years of strong performance may create periods of near-term volatility.
