Fixed income

Gilts

A gilt is a fixed-interest instrument issued by the UK Treasury, and forms part of the range of UK government securities issued by the UK national government to fund its debt.

Gilts are issued via auctions in the primary market, which is administered by the UK Debt Management Office, and are traded in the secondary market.
