2019 Super Quants

Paul Hendriks graduated cum laude from the Quantitative Finance program at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Paul obtained a 8.7 for his thesis on equity country allocation. His internship supervisors were Thijs Markwat (left on the picture) and Casper Zomerdijk (right on the picture) who proudly handed him the well-deserved Super Quant bonus cheque. After his internship, Paul went on to pursue his career at Rabobank.

Menno van Dijk from the Finance program at the Tilburg University has obtained a grade 9.0 for his work on boardroom characteristics and stock returns. His excellent thesis together with his strong defense also earned him a Super Quant bonus cheque which he received from one of his supervisors Thom Marchesini (right). The second supervisor was Laurens Swinkels (not pictured). After finishing his studies, Menno eventually joined the Quantitative Research department at Robeco. We wish Menno all the best in his future career at Robeco!

Joris Jan de Vlieger from the Quantitative Finance program of the Erasmus University Rotterdam has obtained a well-deserved 8.5 for his work on factor dependencies in multi-asset portfolios. His supervisor was Winfried Hallerbach (right on the picture) who handed him a Super Quant bonus. We wish Joris Jan much success in his new role as research analyst with Transtrend!

Eric van Engelen from the Quantitative Finance program at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam obtain a 8.0 for his thesis on corporate bond risks. Eric’s work has contributed to the continuous enhancement of the factor investing strategies at Robeco. His supervisors were Patrick Houweling (left on picture) and Joris Blonk (right on the picture). We wish Eric all the best in his future career!

Anna Dekker from the Quantitative Finance program at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam obtain a 8.0 for her thesis on efficient portfolio construction in the corporate bond market. Her supervisors were Patrick Houweling (left on picture) and Frederik Muskens (right on the picture) who handed in a well-deserved Super Quant bonus. We wish Anna all the best in his future career!
