The SI Thought Leadership team drives research, analytics, and strategy on Robeco’s Sustainable Investing (SI) priority areas, including climate change, biodiversity, social rights, sustainable development goals, ESG integration and SI data. Interns support our work though focused projects that typically take 4 to 6 months. These projects aim to further develop Robeco’s SI strategy and IP, giving you an opportunity to interact with, and learn from, colleagues across Robeco’s teams.
Main areas of responsibilities
The intern will support the Thought Leadership team in enhancing our forward-looking analytics (social and/or climate traffic light). The project aims to improve our existing methodologies. The project can include:
Analyse biases and test suggestions for improvement
Test introduction of new data or techniques for reducing data volatility
Research trends and correlations, e.g. with financial performance
Using Artificial Intelligence tooling to scrape new innovative data points.
The intern will report to a senior researcher and collaborate with colleagues across Robeco’s SI Centre of Expertise and investment teams to bring the model to usage.
What we’re looking for
Current master students that have a strong academic background in fields like (quantitative) finance or sustainability.
Analytical and programming skills, affinity with sustainability
Proficiency in Python, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Availability to work full time in Rotterdam for a period of 4-6 months. Starting date: Q1 2025
All the internship vacancies at Robeco in Rotterdam are open only to students enrolled at a university during the entire duration of their internship. Our interns must also be eligible for a residence permit to do an internship in the Netherlands. This means we can recruit EU citizens studying at a global university or non-EU citizens studying at a Dutch university.
