RobecoSAM

After years of being a niche approach to investing which RobecoSAM* purely focused on since its foundation in 1995, Sustainable Investing (SI) finally hit the mainstream in 2016.
  • Thanks to the increasing collaboration with Robeco, which started in 2006 when Robeco bought the majority of SAM, the two companies have been able to reach and maintain their leading positions in SI.
  • As one of the original ESG natives, RobecoSAM has become one of the most recognized names in SI, known for its pioneering and focused work on SI. Its expertise is now part of every investment process at Robeco.

SI is at the core of everything we do

  • RobecoSAM is the ingredient brand Robeco uses to designate selected SI intelligence and SI research and tooling, as well as its impact funds. We use the collective RobecoSAM knowledge in each and every investment process, recognizing the 25 years of SI expertise it represents. Using RobecoSAM as an ingredient brand reflects the way in which SI is at the core of everything we do.

Specifically, the RobecoSAM name is used for the Robeco sustainable thematic strategies as well as the equity and fixed income impact strategies. Together, they form the Robeco impact product range, which is designed to make a measurable environmental or societal impact and contribute to the SDGs.

  • Furthermore, the RobecoSAM name will also continue to designate the proprietary RobecoSAM Smart ESG Scores, RobecoSAM SDG Scores, RobecoSAM Country ESG Scores, RobecoSAM Gender Scores, and the RobecoSAM Environmental Footprint Tool Scores

*RobecoSAM is a registered trademark of Robeco Holding B.V. The brand RobecoSAM is used to market services and products which do entail Robeco’s expertise on Sustainable Investing (SI). The brand RobecoSAM is not to be considered as a separate legal entity.
