Sustainable European Equity

Sustainable European Equity

Concentrated European portfolio of attractively valued sustainability leaders

Key points:

  • Focused high-conviction portfolio with minimum active share of 70% and 30 to 60 portfolio holdings
  • Proprietary fundamental research integrating financially material sustainability analysis
  • Targeting companies with a focus on quality and sustainability to create value

Philosophy

Our investment philosophy is based on sustainability, quality and value. Sustainable companies provide products and services that create value for society. Quality is indicated in our three perspectives on a company: competitive position, financial performance and sustainability factors. We rely on proprietary research into ESG and financial factors to develop investment ideas that provide exposure to these features, but with a disciplined valuation approach: overpaying for a business, no matter how strong it is, will result in inferior returns.

Process

The strategy is based on a best-in-class approach to identifying sustainability sector leaders. This screening process is followed by fundamental financial analysis. A proprietary discounted cash flow model that takes into account financial and sustainability criteria helps to identify the most attractive companies.

European Equities
Our European equities strategies utilize Robeco’s core strength in quantitative investing to find the bests stocks.
