Investors looking for returns in fintech should focus on the A-G of developments, Robeco’s trends experts say in a new white paper. Their new research, ‘Fintech 2.0: From trends to insights’, updates a previous work on how financial technology is revolutionizing how we conduct banking, consumer payments and financial services.
The research by Jeroen van Oerle and Patrick Lemmens, portfolio managers of the Robeco Global FinTech Equities fund, identifies seven trends that have underpinned developments in this vibrant sector since the last white paper published in 2015. These form a neat A to G of trends: Artificial intelligence; Big data; Core system replacement; Distributed ledger technology; Electronic payments; Financial inclusion, and Governance.
