Robeco Healthy Living is an actively managed fund that invests globally in companies that promote good health and well-being and contribute to an efficient healthcare system. The selection of these stocks is based on fundamental analysis. The fund has sustainable investment as its objective, within the meaning of Article 9 of the Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 of 27 November 2019 on Sustainability-related disclosures in the financial sector. The strategy integrates sustainability criteria as part of the stock selection process and through a theme-specific sustainability assessment. The portfolio is built on the basis of an eligible investment universe that includes companies whose business models contribute to the thematic investment objectives. The assessment regarding relevant SDGs uses an internally developed framework, more information on which can be obtained at www.robeco.com/si.

Alyssa Cornuz is Portfolio Manager of the Robeco Sustainable Healthy Living strategy and member of the Thematic Investing team. She joined in 2021 from Credit Suisse, where she was a Fund Selection Analyst covering ESG and impact funds. Until the end of 2019, she worked as a Fundamental Equity Analyst at Nordea for their Global Climate and Environment Fund. She started her career in 2016 at UBS in the Portfolio Advisory and European Equity teams. Alyssa holds a Master of Science in Finance from HEC Lausanne as well as an international QTEM Master focused on quantitative and analytical skills, and is a CFA® Charterholder.

Tracking error ex-post (%) The ex-post tracking error is defined as the volatility of the fund's achieved excess return over the index return. In fund management, most managers are subject to an ex-ante (pre-determined) tracking error, which defines the extent of the additional risk they may take when aspiring to outperform the fund's benchmark. The ex-post tracking error explains the distribution of past fund performances compared to those of its underlying benchmark. With a higher tracking error, the fund's returns deviate more from its index's returns, hence there is a greater chance that the fund may outperform. The fund is established in Luxembourg and is subject to the Luxembourg tax laws and regulations. The fund is not liable to pay any corporation, income, dividend or capital gains tax in Luxembourg. The fund is subject to an annual subscription tax ('tax d'abonnement') in Luxembourg, which amounts to 0.05% of the net asset value of the fund. This tax is included in the net asset value of the fund. The fund can in principle use the Luxembourg treaty network to partially recover any withholding tax on its income.

In July, global equity markets returned a positive performance (in USD). The energy sector outperformed significantly, followed by the financials sector, which drove the bulk of market returns, while the consumer staples, consumer discretionary, healthcare, communication services and materials sectors also generated gains. In contrast, information technology, utilities and industrials declined in July, with information technology being the weakest sector. Market performance during the month was volatile, with sell-offs in AI-related stocks early in the month somewhat mitigated by reassuring results from Microsoft and Amazon toward the end of the month. The S&P 500 Healthcare Sector Index has staged a sharp turnaround since early May, climbing approximately 12% over the past three months compared to just around 4% for the broader S&P 500 and approximately 7% for the S&P 500 Information Technology Sector Index, making the healthcare sector a standout performer of the period. That surge was strong enough that, in July, the S&P 500 Healthcare Sector Index's year-to-date return briefly caught up with the S&P 500's, a notable reversal after lagging the broader market and the tech-led rally in particular.

Based on transaction prices, the fund's return was 1.40%. In July, the Healthy Living Fund generated positive returns, and outperformed the global market, but underperformed versus its internal benchmark. The fund's relative underweight in industrials and financials weighed on performance against the internal benchmark during the month. All clusters generated positive returns during the month. The Essential Systems and Resilient Society clusters were the primary contributors to performance, both generating strong positive returns, while the Longevity Lifestyles and Healthcare Innovation clusters generated more muted performance. At the individual stock level, the biggest positive contributor was life sciences tools company Thermo Fisher Scientific. The company reported second-quarter results above market expectations and raised its full-year guidance. This set of results stood out after a peer downgraded its guidance earlier in July. The largest negative contribution came from large pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, which corrected after a key phase 3 trial evaluating a cardiomyopathy drug failed to meet its primary endpoint. While Q2 results were in line with expectations, the market remains cautious about two pivotal trial read-outs in H2.

Healthcare remains the core sector of the Healthy Living strategy. Following a prolonged period of underperformance relative to the global market, sector valuations have become more attractive, offering a compelling entry point for long-term investors. At the same time, key regulatory headwinds are easing, with increased clarity around issues such as Most Favored Nation / Medicare pricing proposals and managed-care reforms, improving visibility for earnings and capital allocation. Healthcare not taken into account, the consumer environment remains bifurcated, as inflation and tariffs have put pressure on disposable income. While discretionary spending is under pressure in parts of the market, structurally attractive, high-growth categories aligned with the Healthy Living theme continue to outpace broader consumer trends. Areas such as functional nutrition and performance apparel benefit from consumers' willingness to pay for tangible health, wellness, and performance outcomes, supporting resilient growth and pricing power.
