Investment Team Internship Program (Singapore)

Robeco has been in APAC region since 2007. There are now offices in major financial centers across 5 countries in the region, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Japan and Australia. APAC is both a distribution and marketing hub with 104 employees, of which 29 are investment professionals (as of Feb 2024). In June 2023, the AUM under Asia Pacific was USD 32.4 billion. Sales and marketing coverage is across 12 markets or countries. Robeco has been recognized as sustainable investing leader in Asia with several industry awards (see Appendix).

Robeco is appointing an Intern within its Asia Fixed Income Credits team to work on different aspects of the sustainability investing research space, with a focus on climate transition. The internship position will sit within Investments and report to the designated colleague from the Fixed Income Credits team based in Singapore. Candidates will undertake their internship from May/June and the duration of the program will be between 3-6 months.

Interns will be involved in bottom-up company analysis of sustainability performance. The focus will be on measuring companies’ impact on climate change. The assessment is based on a company’s emission reduction targets and the credibility of those targets.

In this role, Interns will:

• Help collect and analyze data pertaining the climate transition risks faced by companies in our investment universe.

• Collaborate with the Singapore-based investments and sustainability teams as well as with the Europe-based sustainability and climate experts to deliver the companies’ climate transition research.

• Present this research in investment committees and discussions if needed, with the goal to
  generate investment ideas.

• Participate in conference calls with companies to discuss their climate transition strategy.

We are interested to work with final stage Bachelor’s or Master’s students from a broad range of studies. Many former interns started their internship with us during the writing phase of the thesis, to kickstart their professional career while graduating with relevant work experience.

• Pursuing a degree on a relevant field preferably connected to sustainability topics – e.g.
  environmental sciences, sociology, philosophy, biology, business administration or finance.

• Skills in research methods, social engagement, data analytics, creativity.

• Availability to work full time in Singapore for a period of 3-6 months. Starting May/June 2024.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Intermediate level skills in Excel.

• Meeting the legal requirements to work in Singapore (Robeco is unable to sponsor an
