Biodiversity loss – the next big challenge for investors

17-02-2022 | Webinar

Biodiversity is a major new theme for investors, though information about how why it matters for markets has been thin on the ground. Robeco is delighted to begin two new initiatives: the launch of a biodiversity positioning paper, and a partnership with the World Wide Fund for Nature’s Dutch branch (WWF-NL). Both initiatives will set the tone for strategic planning on this vital subject.

In this webinar, Peter van der Werf, Senior Manager Engagement, and Aaron Vermeulen, Head of Green Finance at the WWF, hare their outlook. They explain how Robeco can integrate biodiversity into investments with the help of the WWF; how the WWF can support Robeco to develop biodiversity investment products, and how both organizations can accelerate the financial sector’s focus on it.

During the webinar Peter and Aaron covered:

  • Robeco’s biodiversity roadmap to develop nature-friendly asset management
  • How the expertise of the WWF can support engagement on biodiversity
  • The essential need to pool resources to tackle an issue as big as biodiversity
