Which teams are hiring summer interns?
During the application process, you can indicate your preferred areas of interest. If selected for interviews, you will meet with colleagues from the relevant department.
Fundamental Equity Investing is where it all started for Robeco. It’s arguably the purest form of investing: people trying to find the most attractive companies to invest in. We base our investment decisions on in-depth fundamental research into businesses, sectors, macroeconomics and trends.
Fixed Income Investing is where complexity meets creativity. The Fixed Income team invests in government- and company-issued debt across a wide variety of sectors, countries, and ratings. We offer opportunities across Global Macro and Fundamental Credits.
Quantitative Research is in Robeco’s DNA. We make our investment decisions based on hidden relationships in our data using state-of-the-art techniques. We offer opportunities across Quantitative Equities Research and Quantitative Equities Portfolio Management.
Investment Solutions is at the intersection of various asset classes. The Investment Solutions team delivers superior, research-driven, sustainable strategies and designs innovative solutions that fit clients’ needs. The team manages assets across multi-asset funds, discretionary multi-asset solutions, and customized liability and buy-and-maintain fixed income solutions.
Client Portfolio Management is a linking pin between Investments and Sales, sharing insights about Robeco products and assisting with client requests and questions. We offer opportunities to join the Client Portfolio Management team in Fixed Income.
Data Science transforms vast datasets from financial markets and sustainability sources into actionable insights. It uncovers behavioral biases in investment processes, develops tools to share these findings, and supports investment teams across the organization. We offer opportunities in the (Climate) Data Science team.

Summer Intern 2025 – Data Science
My internship at Robeco made my summer both enjoyable and inspiring. As part of the Data Science team, I explored the fundamental drivers of sovereign risk in emerging markets using Bayesian regression and developed a logistic model to forecast sovereign defaults. These projects gave me hands-on experience in applying data science methods to real investment challenges, and I was encouraged to share insights and propose new ideas, which made me feel like my contributions were truly valued.
The internship also offered a comprehensive view of the asset management industry. Via regular trainings, presentations, and interactions with different teams I learned how Robeco integrates research, sustainability, and innovation into its investment philosophy. The many activities and events organized in and outside the office made the company culture really stand out: supportive, collaborative, and curious!

Summer Intern 2025 – Multi-Asset Solutions
My summer at Robeco was an extraordinary blend of intellectual challenge and genuine connection, where quantitative rigor met fundamental insight. In the Investment Solutions team, I didn’t just analyze markets, I built a Python dashboard to evaluate multi-leg options strategies in real time and structured a trade that became part of the team’s portfolio. What made this experience truly unique was the trust placed in interns: I was treated as a valued contributor, debating investment theses in tactical asset allocation meetings and collaborating with portfolio managers.
Beyond the technical work, the people set Robeco apart. The Multi-Asset team’s sharp, diverse minds fostered constant learning, while the young Robeco employees who organized our summer transformed a professional milestone into a shared adventure, filled with events, laughter, and connections that extended far beyond the office. Summer Intern 2024 – Fixed Income
The Robeco summer internship was an incredibly rewarding experience from both a career and personal perspective. The daily interaction with analysts and portfolio managers allowed me to gain a detailed grasp on the fixed income investment process. At the same time, regular presentations from experts gave comprehensive overviews of topics across asset classes and investment approaches, such as quant investing, active ownership, and the use of AI and machine learning in finance. All of this provided an in-depth understanding of the day-to-day operations of an international asset manager.
Additionally, my individual project allowed me to build a practical tool for relative value analysis in credits, developing technical expertise in the nuances of bond characteristics while simultaneously gaining hands-on experience in the use of industry-standard applications. I felt well-supported throughout by my colleagues who provided great guidance. Beyond work, the great range of planned activities built a strong sense of community with the other interns and our supervisors, making it a very fun summer even without knowing anyone in Rotterdam beforehand!

Summer Intern 2024 – Thematic Equity
I could not have started my career in any better way than here at Robeco.
In the Thematic Equity team, I learned so much in just one summer, thanks to the stimulating individual project I was assigned as well as by taking part to the day-to-day activities of the fund. I was followed in a really balanced way so that I had the opportunity to challenge myself and learn, while at the same time there was always someone ready to help me.
Along with incredible professional growth, this experience was also unique on a human level. On the one hand, the summer internship was very well organized: we teamed up among us interns and were invited to a lot of activities even outside the office. On the other hand, the Dutch culture and Robeco's culture in particular allowed me to live this experience in a really serene way, in a context that was challenging to the right point, a context made up of people who are extremely knowledgeable, but also welcoming and pleasant, a context where every morning I looked forward to going.
