How AI can strengthen credit research

Credit research is becoming more information-intensive and time-critical. Analysts face growing volumes of issuer documentation, market data, broker research and internal research history, all while markets can move quickly and conviction still needs to be built carefully.

ACE, Robeco’s in-house AI platform for investments, is designed to help Robeco’s investment professionals move faster from raw information to structured insight. In credit research, ACE supports the generation of preliminary issuer research reports (called Fundamental-score reports or F-score reports) based on documentation, data and Robeco’s own research framework. This allows analysts to spend less time gathering and structuring information, and more time on judgment, challenge and conviction.

Rather than replacing the credit analyst, the aim is to reinforce the research process: broadening opportunity coverage, strengthening risk awareness and helping investment teams make better-informed decisions more quickly.
