Note: This will be the last Daily Sketch here for the time being. Behind the scenes Robeco has been working hard to create a fantastic new website, and that means that we will all be pausing our web activities in preparation for things going live later this year. Middle managers have always had a difficult job, but the ongoing stress of navigating post-Covid work requirements coupled with increased pressure to do more with less to mitigate rising costs has led to heightened levels of stress, according to a recent survey by the Future Forum. The percentage of all employees stating that they feel burned out rose from 37% in May 2021 when the survey began, to 40% in the most recent poll in August 2022. Notably, while 32% of executives report feeling burned out, a significantly greater 43% of middle managers reported that degree of stress.
