In the past few years, millions of internet users in South East Asia have come online, their number reaching 440 million this year. This cohort has started participating in the internet economy by purchasing goods, ordering food, booking travel and consuming media online. In 2015, the South East Asia internet economy had an estimated size of USD 32 billion; it has now reached USD 174 billion. By 2025, it’s expected to more than double to USD 363 billion. In the coming years an approximate 90 million people are still to come online in South East Asia.
