Senior Communications Specialist

The team (6 people: 1 manager, 3 communications specialists, 1 PR manager and 1 content manager) provides internal and external communication support to the entire organization. The aim of our communication activities is to support the business in achieving our strategic goals. Our objectives are to:

  • Inform employees and create awareness on the Robeco strategy: what is expected from me; and how can I contribute to achieving Robeco's goals.
  • Enhance engagement of employees on the Robeco's strategy.
  • Pro-actively contribute to the successful execution of the strategy by supporting and facilitating the organization in effective communication.
  • Support our sales teams with PR focused on our investment expertise.
  • Enhance our sustainability profile in all relevant internal and external communications.
  • Protect and enhance our reputation in and through the media.

Job description

As part of the Corporate Communications team you will:
  • proactively follow the developments within the organization and translate these in a timely fashion into internal and occasionally external communications (such as news items, background articles, written interviews, speeches, presentations, scripts for videos, press releases and Q&A's), taking account the target audience.
  • translate the external communications and marketing strategy into internal communications (in collaboration with colleagues Global Marketing), ensuring that the image Robeco wishes to present externally is kept alive and thoroughly understood within the organization.
  • advise at operational and tactical board level and support line managers in their work at internal communications and write communications plans.
  • be responsible to improve ideas of internal communication and are aware of the newest technological developments.
  • use online & offline communication tools.
  • evaluate the internal communications activities and use the outcome of the results for further improvements.
  • closely work with colleagues both in Rotterdam and in Robeco offices around the world.

  • are approachable, sociable and enterprising.
  • have an intuitive understanding of organizations, relationships within organizations and cultural differences.
  • have a academic degree and at least seven years work experience, preferably in financial services on executive level in an international environment.
