Robeco, a mid-sized global asset manager, offers a mix of investment solutions within a broad range of strategies to institutional and private investors worldwide. Robeco's head office is located in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Robeco Luxembourg S.A. is the management company for Robeco's UCITS fund range in Luxembourg. Robeco Luxembourg S.A. is responsible for the management of multiple UCITS fund structures. The fund range encompasses over 75 sub-funds and 550 share classes that represent more than EUR 50 billion in assets under management. Robeco Luxembourg S.A. has been appointed by these funds to serve as its designated management company. Robeco Luxembourg provides administration, investment management, distribution and marketing of the funds mentioned. Robeco Luxembourg has outsourced part of its functions to service providers.

The candidate will be employed by Robeco Luxembourg in Luxembourg and reports to the Conducting Officers of Robeco Luxembourg SA. There is a direct functional relationship with Risk Management in Rotterdam therefore frequent presence in Rotterdam and willingness to travel may be required. Risk Management advices and supports the Executive Committee (ExCo) of Robeco and the Board of Directors of Robeco Luxembourg SA by identifying, monitoring and reporting on market, counterparty, liquidity, model, operational and strategic risk.

Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and professional Risk Manager whose main responsibilities will center around the Luxembourg based UCITS fund range managed by Robeco Luxembourg S.A.. The position involves a variety of activities;

  • Day-to-day risk management for the UCITS fund range.
  • Maintain and strengthen the internal control environment of Robeco Luxembourg within the Robeco Control Framework
  • Initiate and facilitate periodical risk & control self-assessments on Robeco Luxembourg’ key processes
  • Contribute to designing, implementing and maintaining risk management concepts, models and processes for the UCITS fund range.
  • Analyzing and contributing to risk communication in fund documentation and prospectuses.
  • Periodic review of risk policies, procedures and the Risk Management Process (RMP).
  • Signaling regulatory risk topics to Compliance and Risk Management departments.
  • Contribute to the compilation of risk management reports to senior management, board of directors and the regulator (CSSF).
  • Contribute to and participate in several committees constituting the risk governance organization of Robeco Luxembourg.

Requirements

The candidate we are looking for has the following qualities and skills:

  • Academic degree;
  • A minimum of 4 years work experience in risk management.
  • Asset management industry experience and knowledge is required.
  • Experience with Luxembourg UCITS is a plus.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills, both written, oral and presentational;
  • Hands on, down to earth, pro-active and result oriented;
  • Strong analytical skills, accurate and pragmatic if required.
