Investment Operations Change Management Specialist

Department description

Robeco, an authentic Dutch asset manager, is currently outsourcing part of its back- and middle office activities. As part of the Retained organization Robeco is setting up a new team that is responsible for managing changes within the existing target operating models such as onboarding of new clients/funds to support our investment and product teams. The team consists of five members with expertise in implementing Funds and Mandates who work closely with other teams within Robeco, such as Product Management/Product Delivery, IT Delivery, Client Services as well as external service providers.

The Investment Operations Change Management team is looking for a new team member to be part of this exiting and critical step in successful transforming our service delivery model.

  • Managing the operational activities for launching new products, including mergers and liquidations
  • Opening and closure of sub-funds and share classes for existing fund structures
  • Onboarding of new institutional clients and custody relationships
  • Managing Custody Network activities (market opening/ closure), broker set up requests, fund static changes)
  • Oversee the implementation on service providers side
  • Single point of contact for Group Product Management regarding fund and mandate related changes
  • Single point of contact for external providers regarding changes
  • Single point of contact for depositories regarding change
  • Capture and validate if service requirements fit within the existing target operating models
  • Responsible for project management of the implementations within the agreed time frame and accountable for the agreed fulfillment (including third parties) of the product after completion

Candidate profile

  • Flexible and proactive and enjoy cooperation with different teams in an international setting
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills, an entrepreneurial and business-oriented mind-set
  • Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field
  • Professional & intellectual capacities at academic or higher professional education level
  • 5 years or more working experience in (institutional) asset management
  • Good understanding of financial instruments and asset management processes
  • Experience in product launches (including mergers and closures) and transitions
  • Experience with onboarding new Institutional clients and custody relationships.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Capable of working in a fast paced and international expanding environment
  • Assertive and proactive attitude towards collaboration between service providers and our internal stakeholders
  • Client-centered, always act in the best interest of our clients
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; additional Dutch is a plus
