Robeco, an authentic Dutch asset manager, is currently outsourcing part of its back- and middle office activities. As part of the Retained organization Robeco is setting up an Operations Oversight team.

The team consists of seven members (two are located in Hong Kong) with expertise in overseeing all service providers. The team works closely with other Robeco teams, such as Investments, Account Management, Accounting Oversight, Risk Management, Portfolio Management and Compliance.

The Operations Oversight team is looking for a new colleague with an enthusiastic attitude and willingness to be part of this exiting and critical step in successful transforming our service delivery model.

Responsibilities

  • Single point of contact between Robeco and service providers
  • Responsible for an optimal connection between Robeco and the service providers
  • Oversees if delivered services by providers meet the SLA/KPI agreements
  • Continuously challenge, monitor and initiate improvements in services delivered to our stakeholders
  • Perform oversight on outsourced activities, such as:
    - Investment Book of Records (IBOR) delivery quality check
    - Corporate actions, both internally and towards external providers
    - Collateral Management (disputes)
    - Transaction Life Cycle Management such as Derivative transactions
    - Counterparty/Broker changes
    - Client and Regulatory reporting such as EMIR
    - Class Action processing
    - Cash and holding reconciliations
    - Supports Portfolio Engineering and Trading in trade management including dealing with possible buy-ins

Candidate profile

  • Flexible and proactive and enjoy cooperation with different teams in an international setting
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills, an entrepreneurial and business-oriented mind-set
  • Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field
  • At least 7 years working experience in the asset management industry and a good understanding of back and middle office activities/processes
  • Good understanding of financial instruments and asset management processes
  • Able to cope with tight deadlines
  • Assertive and proactive attitude towards collaboration between service providers and our internal stakeholders
  • Eager to optimize processes and create best-practice working methods
  • Always eager to add value for our clients and internal stakeholders
  • Capable of working in a fast paced and international expanding environment
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; additional Dutch is a plus
