Portfolio Engineering & Trading Equity team (PET Equity) is a department within the Robeco Investments division. The PET Equity team consists of 3 sub teams, Operational Portfolio Management, Technical Portfolio Management and the Trading team that you would join. We work closely with the Quantitative and Fundamental Equity teams, each with several sub teams that specialize in different investment strategies (Global, Emerging Markets, Trends and Quantitative Strategies).

Together with a team of enthusiastic and committed investment professionals, you will be working on the successful implementation and execution of the Robeco Equity portfolios. The work is characterized by a high degree of independence on the one hand, and cooperation with colleagues from within the team and various other departments on the other hand.

  • Based out of New York, you will be part of the global trading desk with locations in Rotterdam, Hong Kong and Boston
  • You will be responsible for the execution of "high touch" equity orders in North America and Latin America
  • Manage and develop broker relationships in order to increase the likelihood to find block liquidity
  • Work together with traders and (operational) portfolio managers in other time zones.
  • Work in a team environment that strives to integrate trading, quantitative research and technology
  • Integrate discretionary trading strategies with systematic ones in order to minimize implicit and explicit transaction costs
  • Use trading metrics and data analysis methods to improve decision-making
  • Identify developments, opportunities and trends in the market and translate these into concrete actions and recommendations


  • Academic degree
  • 3-5 years Equity trading experience
  • Knowledge of US and Latam markets
  • You are results oriented, precise, flexible, a team player, pragmatic and with a "can do" mentality
  • Experience with systematic/algorithmic trading and/or block crossing platforms
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing new ideas to improve trade execution and operations
  • Solid analytical / problem solving capabilities
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
  • Having a strong network in the financial industry is an advantage
  • Professional & intellectual capacities at academic or higher professional education level
