Corporate Sustainability

As a leader in sustainable investing, Robeco recognizes the importance of meeting the sustainability standards to which we hold companies we invest in. That means, we ‘Walk the Talk’ when it comes to our own operations, which is one of the six pillars of Robeco’s Sustainable Investing strategy.

The Corporate Sustainability Team is a dynamic and motivated team headquartered in Rotterdam and has cultivated a unique team spirit that is both impact-driven and purpose-oriented. We are looking for an intern to work with and support our team on a broad range of activities for a period of 4-6 months on a full-time basis (40 hours/week).

Through your work, you will have opportunities to build solid knowledge on sustainability reporting, reporting regulation, project coordination, and communication skills through engagement with 60+ stakeholders in completing the 2023 Robeco Integrated Report. As training and growth are a key drivers for our team, we will provide you with the tools and teachings to allow you to grow.

Starting date: March 2024

Your key responsibilities:

  • Assist on coordination work connected to Robeco’s Integrated Report;

  • Conduct customized research on specific sustainability topics and have a creative approach to problem-solving;

  • Learn and apply various reporting standards/regulations (GRI, CSRD, TCFD, SFDR, UN Global Compact, etc.);

  • Coordinate volunteering activities for our employees;

  • Support the Corporate Sustainability Committee and Robeco Foundation.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Undertaking a degree, preferably a relevant discipline, for example environmental studies, sustainable development or finance, business and/or economics with a strong interest in the sustainability field;

  • You have a good understanding of sustainable development topics and corporate sustainability reporting;

  • You are a well-organized person who can prioritize tasks and has strong time management skills as well as research and writing skills;

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills;

  • Team player, self-motivated, proactive, and independent;

  • Inquisitive and willing to learn;

  • You are fluent in English – an additional language is an advantage;

  • Eligible applicants are students enrolled at a university on at least the first month of their internship. Our interns must also be eligible for a residence permit to do an internship in the Netherlands. This means we can recruit EU citizens studying at a global university or non-EU citizens studying at a Dutch university.
