As pioneers of SI, we have Sustainability Inside

As pioneers of SI, we have Sustainability Inside

15-03-2019 | Insight

Robeco is proud to have been a pioneer of sustainability investing, standing at the forefront of this vibrant style now for more than two decades.

We embrace it wholly; environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors are integrated into the investment process for our entire fundamental equities, fixed income, quantitative and bespoke sustainability fund ranges. We also use active ownership extensively, and cross-fertilize SI with other styles such as factor investing.

Put simply, we have Sustainability Inside. But why do we like it so much? It’s not just because we can show it leads to better-informed investment decisions, or that it generates superior risk-adjusted returns. Or that clients increasingly demand it as the world battles issues such as climate change, digitalization and an aging society. Or even that we’re considered to be the number one brand for sustainability investing in Europe.

We’ve put all of our reasoning in a new book, explaining everything that we do in the world of SI. In six chapters, we explain why we have Sustainability Inside, Research Inside, Engagement Inside, Flexibility Inside, Passion Inside and Leadership Inside. It is a collection of in-depth articles, case studies, interviews and graphics telling our long story. We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed compiling it.
