Our Management Team

With a decade in the Middle East, investors have the advantage of global strength and support in combination with our local knowledge. The Robeco Middle East team is led by Graham Elliot. Graham is supported by country managers covering the six GCC countries as well as Africa and Central Asia. This team is complemented by additional staff based at the Robeco Middle East office in Dubai International Financial Centre.

Graham Elliot joined Robeco as Managing Director, Head of Middle East & Africa in January 2012. Graham is responsible for Robeco’s strategic and tactical operating decisions and for overseeing and growing both the institutional and wholesale business in the Middle East region, as well as being tasked with further development and growth of Robeco’s presence in Africa and Central Asia.

Graham has been working in institutional asset management for more than two decades, of which the past six years have been focused on the Middle East. Prior to joining Robeco, Graham held senior positions in the Middle East for Barclays Global Investors (latterly BlackRock), where as Head of Business, he was responsible for setting up their business in the region in 2007. More recently, he was CEO of BNP Paribas Investment Partners Middle East based out of Bahrain.

Previous to his move to the Middle East, Graham covered European institutional investors and pension funds for BGI, Legal & General Investment Management and Mercers from the UK.

Graham holds a BA (Hons) in Business from Birmingham University.

Marwan Halabi joined Robeco in early 2008 as Country Manager for Saudi Arabia and the Levant.

Marwan Halabi has 12 years of experience, four years in Canada and eight years in the Middle East. His experience has centered on the banking and finance sectors.

Prior to joining Robeco, Mr. Halabi was employed by Saudi Hollandi Bank, an ABN AMRO affiliate, as a Senior Portfolio Manager for fixed income and money markets. Other positions held include that of Business Manager for Al-Azizia Commercial Investment Company/Deutsche Bank joint venture, Senior Auditor at Deloitte and Institutional Portfolio Accountant at TD Canada Trust.

Marwan graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Economics.

Amr Albialy is the Country Manager for the United Arab Emirates, Sultanate of Oman, the State of Qatar and Africa for Robeco Middle East. He is responsible for growing and servicing institutional clients, including Sovereign Wealth Funds, Government Institutions, Family Offices and insurance companies.

Amr joined Robeco in July 2011 from Emirates NBD Asset Management, where he was the Head of Business Development. He brings with him more than 12 years of experience at international financial institutions including HSBC, Deutsche Bank and previously, Amr worked as Director, Head of Distribution and Structured Products at the Investment Banking subsidiary of Dubai Islamic Bank.

Amr graduated with honors from the City University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Business Administration. He has furthermore completed the Pension Fund and Investment Management program from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Maria Broskov Jensen joined Robeco in October 2009. She is in charge of Global Key Accounts for Robeco Middle East. In addition to servicing of the Global Key Accounts in the region, Maria holds the role as Regional Marketing Manager in which she is responsible for Robeco’s events & conferences, knowledge sharing and thought leadership activities in the region, hereunder the annual Middle East Investor Conference.
 
Maria has lived and worked in the Gulf since 2006. Prior to joining Robeco, she worked as Manager of Corporate Communications for a division of the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group.
 
Maria holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from University of Southern Denmark.

Maria is Robeco’s media spokesperson in the Middle East.
