Voting decision

Robeco votes at over 2000 shareholders meetings. From a cost perspective it is not efficient to extensively analyse for every specific meeting how to cast our vote.  Therefore Robeco uses independent voting advice from Riskmetrics, an international proxy advisor. Robeco’s Reponsible Investing team compares the specific voting advice with Robeco’s corporate governance policy. In case of controversial or important agenda items the involved portfolio manager at Robeco is consulted to discuss the vote. Robeco ultimately always decides how to vote at a meeting.
