The five elements of responsible investing
For Robeco, responsible investing means integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into the investment process. Robeco uses exclusion where active dialogue fails to produce the desired effect.
Product classification
We asked an independent institute to examine our products in the light of four aspects to show whether they are responsible and sustainable, and if so, the extent to which this is the case.
Active ownership
Robeco makes active use of the rights of investors to influence how companies are managed. We also enter into an active dialogue with companies on important environmental, social and governance issues. Together this constitutes engagement.
