Robeco deals responsibly with people and environment

Robeco’s Environmental Policy focuses on:

  • Energy and water: Robeco actively strives to reduce the use of energy and water, and promotes the use of sustainable energy. Reduction will lead to bottom-line savings.
  • Mobility: Robeco actively strives to reduce transportation needed, make transportation of employees more efficient and to choose a mode of transport that has less impact on our environment.
  • Purchasing: Responsibility is an integral part of Robeco’s purchase decision.
  • Housing: In building new Robeco offices or renovating offices sustainability of construction, used materials and operation of the building is taken into account.
  • Paper: Robeco actively strives to reduce the usage of paper. All paper used has limited impact on our environment.
  • Carbon Footprint: Robeco wants to conduct all its company operations in a climate-neutral manner by reducing the carbon footprint of all its operations as much as possible, and compensating the remaining carbon footprint. Robeco signed a declaration to reduce the CO2 emission per FTE.

Robeco’s Social Policy focuses on:

  • Performance based remuneration: Robeco bases remuneration on explicit performance indicators to ensure a consistent and reliable approach
  • Employee pensions: Robeco’s Dutch pension fund will invest in a responsible manner.
  • Personal development and labour mobility: Robeco expects employees themselves to take responsibility for their personal development and actively supports them in this.
  • Code of conduct: Robeco has a code of conduct that is known and practiced by all employees.
  • Conflicts and whistle blowing: Robeco safeguards the employee position in conflicts regarding labour conditions and whistle blowing situations.
  • Work related illness Ambition: Robeco takes precautionary measures to limit work related illness.
  • Diversity and equal opportunities The basic principle of equal opportunity applies to all employees.
  • Work-life balance: Robeco enables its employees to maintain a good work-life balance, although a good work life balance is the primary responsibility of the employee.
