Jean-Louis Laurens resigns for family reasons

13-05-2009

Jean-Louis Laurens has made known his wish to work from his place of residence Paris, due to family reasons. Regretfully this wish is not compatible with his present responsibilities at Robeco and hence he has come to the conclusion that he should resign. Jean-Louis Laurens: "It is with deep regret that I have to give up my position. My family requires my full time presence in Paris. I strongly believe in the organization and wish you all the best."

For the time being, Jean-Louis Laurens’ responsibilities will be assigned to other Management Board members. This aims at leaving Mainstream Investments intact as a separate domain and as such supporting the momentum created by introducing the functional organizational structure earlier this year.

Frank Kusse will become responsible for Mainstream Investments, next to his present responsibility for Sales & Marketing. The objective for Mainstream Investments is to fully implement the changes that have already been announced under Jean-Louis Laurens’ leadership.

The organizational changes will take immediate effect. The longer term resolution of the vacancy is expected in the coming months.

George Möller said: “We fully understand Jean-Louis’ reasoning and we respect his decision. We thank him for his great contribution to our organization for more than three years, and we wish him and his family the best under the present circumstances.”
