Robeco streamlines its organization

Today, Robeco announced a program aimed at creating a more efficient organization. By performing its operations more efficiently, Robeco expects to get the job done with a workforce down 250, and to be able to cut costs by around EUR 78 million, mainly at its head office in Rotterdam. The majority of the measures will be implemented during the course of 2009; some outsourcing measures will be completed in 2010.

Robeco CEO, George Möller says: “Profitability is good, but the profit structure should be more balanced over the business units. Our overhead costs are high compared with the international competition. We realize that providers of financial services around the world are facing difficult times. At the same time we see favorable opportunities for further growth. Our ambitious strategy requires an efficient and decisive organization.”
