Robeco pioneer in low carbon

On 1 February, CNBC European Business magazine published a list of pioneers in the area of, what they call, the ‘low carbon’ economy. The final list was decided on the basis of the degree to which the company had taken a courageous or ground-breaking stance on climate change during the past decade (typically larger corporations), or that it had raced to prominence on the basis of a low-carbon entrepreneurial opportunity (typically smaller enterprises or recently listed public companies). In either case, the company had to have consciously and explicitly connected climate change to their bottom line. Help at the final stage of selection was provided by Innovest Strategic Value Advisors, a well-known data provider in the field of sustainable investment.

Robeco is listed as number 15 between large corporations like HSBC, Siemens and Swiss Re.
