Responsible pension accrual

Stichting Robeco PPI enables you to offer your employees a pension scheme that provides all the benefits of responsible pension accrual. Robeco’s PPI pension scheme is called Smart Pension. This is a defined-contribution scheme through which your employees accrue a capital that is converted into a life-long pension benefit when they reach the pensionable age. This solution conforms with the pension agreement made last year. Assets are accrued for the future by carefully investing the defined-contribution premiums. This is a solution that you can apply directly in practice, since Rabobank affiliate Stichting Robeco PPI was one of the first entities to be licensed by De Nederlandsche Bank.

80 years of experience in investing 
A transparent defined-contribution scheme forms the basis of Smart Pension. The premiums are invested by Robeco Institutional Asset Management B.V. (hereinafter Robeco), drawing on the company’s  85 years of investment experience.
Participants in the pension scheme accrue a pension in a responsible fashion. The premiums are invested according to the LifeCycle mix, whereby the investment risk is reduced as retirement  approaches. On that date, the capital is converted into a pension. Because the amount of pension that can be purchased with the capital depends to a large extent on the interest rate, this risk is also partially covered. This creates more certainty about the value of your employees’ pensions.
 
Opting out is a possibility and the participants can then construct their portfolios to suit their own requirements. It is also possible to save the premiums in a Rabobank savings account.
