Following the acquisition of Banque d’Orsay, Oddo & Cie has entered into exclusive negotiations to acquire Banque Robeco, Groupe Robeco's private banking arm, thereby pursuing its development in this domain.
As per 1 January, 2011, Kommer van Trigt will become fund manager of Rorento. Rorento is one of Robeco’s flagship global fixed income funds with a total size of EUR 1.9 billion. Rorento is one of the oldest bond funds in Europe and has achieved an average annual return of 7.9% since inception in 1974.

Professor Tom Steenkamp joins Robeco on 1 November 2010 to co-head the Investment Solutions department together with Artino Janssen. This is the department where all Robeco disciplines come together to provide investment solutions for pension funds in line with our policy to raise our domestic institutional market share from the present eight percent to sixteen percent in 2014.
Rabobank Pensioenfonds has reviewed its investment policy, leading to adjustments to its equity investments. The decision is to change from a portfolio that uses enhanced indexing as its investment style to a portfolio incorporating several different investment styles. Central to this is that active management has regained a prominent position. Robeco will continue to manage the majority of investments.
Peter Ferket takes over from Mark van der Kroft on 1 July 2010 as head of Investment Products in the Investments Division. Peter Ferket is currently fund manager for Rolinco and co-head of the Quantitative Equity team. Mark van der Kroft joins Eric van der Maarel’s Dutch Institutional Sales team on 1 September.
Robeco intends to merge the Luxembourg sub-fund Robeco 130/30 North American Equities into another Luxembourg sub-fund, Robeco US Large Cap Equities. The main reason for this is that the strategy pursued by the Robeco US Large Cap Equities sub-fund has for some time produced much-improved returns.

Robeco is introducing a comprehensive policy on responsible investing. In future, environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors will integrally be taken into account when investment decisions are made.
