Department

GIS is the central IT department for Robeco and is responsible for Robeco's information systems, whereby use is made of different types of outsourcing, including several SaaS and IaaS providers.  Among the main responsibilities of GIS are (functional) application management, application support of business applications, requirement management, information security and BCM, change & release management, monitoring & control, project delivery, quality assurance and vendor management. Furthermore, the delivery department within GIS provides software development capabilities. Other activities of GIS include selecting and implementing IT solutions.

Job description
Robeco is looking for a senior IT Service Manager to manage and improve our IT service management processes. This includes Incident, Problem, Change & Release, and Configuration Management. Your challenge is to align these processes in a dynamic environment, where both agility and stability is required. Changes must be deployed in a fast and controlled way with minimum risk for the operational stability and security of the changed environments. You oversee these processes from an operational as well as a tactical perspective and have a strong focus on process improvement, with a combination of auditing, consultancy and technical skills. On a senior level you advise the department head and GIS Management Team about risk reduction and process improvements and implement the required improvements. You have oversight of a small team to ensure all responsibilities are completed.

As an IT Service Manager your key responsibilities are:

  • Overseeing Robeco’s IT service management processes, e.g. incident, problem, change management, release management and configuration management processes and continuous improvement of these processes in order to ensure optimal alignment between IT Operations and IT Delivery
  • Delivering input on strategic and tactical level to the IT service strategy
  • Optimal integration of the service management processes of Robeco and its suppliers
  • Provide optimal insight in process performance to GIS management and internal and external auditors
  • Anticipating on market and industry developments for IT service management and (continuous) delivery

Knowledge and skills:
You have a higher technical professional or university education and at least 10 years' experience in the area of IT service management of which 5 years as teamlead, manager or consultant. Preferable you have worked within the financial sector. You are pragmatic and able to work with different types of management styles. You are a critical and creative thinker with strong analytical and communication skills and be able to advice the management about the optimal balance between risk avoidance and agility. Knowledge about IT auditing, Cobit, SOX and ISAE 3402 reporting is preferable. You are a sparring partner for (senior) management.

You also have:

  • Knowledge of the latest (ITIL) service management developments
  • Knowledge and experience with deployment tooling and automated testing
  • Experience with multi-sourced IT-environments
  • Experience in effectively influencing management, professionals and suppliers, and the ability to maintain sustainable and effective professional relationships
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in both Dutch and English 
  • Enterprising and creative skills to seek solutions for complex issues

Specific knowledge and skills:
Familiarity with ITIL v2 and v3, Cobit 4.1 and 5, DevOps, Agile/Scrum, SOx and ISAE 3402 and ITIL v3 certificate(s) on minimal level ITIL expert
