Super Quants - Generation 2015

Below you can see the Super Quants that we selected for internships in 2015 and the grades they received for their theses. We are constantly looking for new Super Quants and give you the opportunity to be on top of the list next year. Moreover, doing an internship at Robeco gives you many excellent opportunities at the job market after your graduation.

Josephine Boerman

josephine-boerman.jpgJosephine Boerman (Netherlands) from the Quantitative Finance as well as the Economics and Business program at the Erasmus University Rotterdam obtained a 7.5 for her work on evaluating life cycles in DC plans. We thank Josephine for the new research insights from the research project. Her internship supervisors were Alexander de Roode and Roderick Molenaar. We wish Josephine all the best in her future career!

Robin van Straalen

robin-van-straalen.jpgRobin van Straalen (Netherlands) from the Quantitative Finance program at the Erasmus University Rotterdam obtained a 9 for his work on optimal life cycle strategies in DC plans. This grade which made him graduate cum laude. Robin’s research has delivered a useful contribution to a further enhancement of the implementation of DC plans at Robeco. His internship supervisors were Thijs Markwat and Roderick Molenaar. We wish Robin all the best in his future career!

Filip Bekjarovski

filip-bekjarovski-168x164.jpgFilip Bekjarovski (Macedonia) from the Research Master in Business of the Tilburg University obtained a 9 for his work on factor timing. Filip did a great job during his Super Quant internship at Robeco (supervised by Simon Lansdorp; left on the picture). After his internship Filip started as a PhD-candidate at Tilburg University and the University of Toulouse. We wish Filip a lot of success in his future career!

Joost Duisters

Gelly Fu

Gelly proved to be a strong researcher with good ideas and solid analyses. His supervisors were Patrick Houweling (left on the picture) and Jeroen van Zundert (right on the picture). After his internship Gelly went on to pursue a PhD.

Joris Blonk

His internship supervisors at Robeco were Weili Zhou (left on the picture) and Jeroen van Zundert (right on the picture). After his internship Joris started as a researcher at Robeco Investment Research.
