  • Robeco is an official sponsor of Team Brunel in the Volvo Ocean Race 2014-2015
  • This is the 12th edition of the race, and the 5th under the name Volvo Ocean Race
  • The first Whitbread round-the-world race was in 1973
  • The Netherlands and Sweden (Volvo’s home country) have the strongest history in the race in terms of the number of teams and sailors taking part
  • 7 teams are in this edition, with one Dutch entry and one all-female squad
  • Each boat has 8 sailing crew (or 11 women) and one on-board reporter
  • There are 10 stopovers on 5 continents in 9 months of racing at:
